Carlsbad, Calif. – January 6, 2023 – Arima Genomics, Inc., the leader in 3D genomics, today announced the appointment of Melissa Won, PhD, to the newly created position of Vice President of Product Development.

Melissa returns to Arima Genomics, having previously served as Vice President of Operations, with extensive life sciences leadership spanning product development and clinical testing. Most recently, Melissa was Head of Program Management for Cradle Genomics, where she led the cross-functional team that developed the company’s first clinical services test and launched multiple clinical research studies. Melissa previously led sample-to-report product launches and held senior product development and scientist roles at Illumina. She holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemistry from UC San Diego.

As Vice President of Product Development, Melissa will oversee the ongoing development of the Arima Genomics product portfolio. Her efforts will be critical as the organization scales to develop new solutions that serve a broad spectrum of scientific, translational medicine, and clinical applications.
