3D Chromatin Interactions

Tuesday, May 30, 2023 | 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm PT
Mission Bay Conference Center (Rutter Center) | Coblentz Boardroom, 2nd floor – Room #220
1675 Owens St., San Francisco, CA 94158

Join us for a collaborative event on 3D chromatin interactions alongside Bay Area Chromatin and Epigenomics. We will dive into the intricate world of long-distance chromatin interactions – the layer of epigenetic regulation that scientists are still only beginning to understand. Hear from two leading scientists who are at the forefront of 3D chromatin research as they share their latest findings. Agenda is below:

  • 5:00 – 5:30 pm – Arrival and networking
  • 5:30 – 6:00 pm – “Cohesin Dynamics Define Protocadherin Isoform Diversity Required for Brain Wiring” | Lea Kiefer, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Daniele Canzio Lab, UCSF
  • 6:00 – 6:30 pm – “Regulation of Genome Folding by Cohesin Cofactors” | Rini Shah, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Elphège Nora Lab, UCSF
  • 6:30 – 7:00 pm – Closing remarks and networking
